Kota (Rajasthan):  The agitation against the alleged irregularities in the NEET UG exam is gaining momentum across the country. In Kota, NSUI activists staged a protest on Friday, demanding the cancellation of the NEET exam. During the protest, the activists attempted to break the barricades and enter the collectorate, prompting the police to use force, lathi-charging them and dispersing them. Many activists were injured in the lathi-charge.

Angry activists clashed with the police, and later staged protests at different locations.

NSUI state president Vinod Jakhar said that the NEET paper was leaked at the behest of the central government, benefiting some students. He demanded strict action against those involved in the paper leak.

"The center is protecting the paper leak mafia. This is a betrayal of the students," said NSUI in-charge Akhilesh Yadav. "We will not back down until the exam is cancelled."

On Friday, a large number of NSUI activists gathered outside the circuit house around 12 pm, led by state president Vinod Jakhar, state in-charge Akhilesh Yadav, and district president Vishal Mehta. They protested against the central government, demanding the cancellation of the NEET exam and a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities.
