Bhiwadi (Rajasthan): The ₹45 crore bypass widening and beautification project is finally complete, and now, traffic will finally get a boost. The market is witnessing a transformation, with widened roads and clean surroundings, reminiscent of a big city. People had to face many difficulties, but now they will experience a hassle-free commute.

The 4.15 km stretch from Khijuri Bas Toll to Dharihera Mode will be widened from two to four lanes, with footpaths, walkways, water harvesting, and beautification. The project began on September 16, 2022, with a one-year deadline, but it has been delayed by nine months. It is expected to be completed by June 30.

The project has already seen the completion of asphalt work, streetlights, and green belt development. Tiles have been laid on the 95-foot wide green belt, and fencing work is in its final stages. Electricity poles have been installed, and footpath construction has begun.

The project has faced delays due to the undergrounding of power lines, which took a lot of time. The absence of experienced electrical engineers in Bhiwadi and the lack of shutdowns from the power corporation added to the delay. Additionally, the treated water pipeline from STP to Thada crossed the road, causing further delays.

“Once the project is complete, traffic will get a boost, and the bypass will have a big-city feel. People will be able to park their vehicles on the roadside and take a stroll for up to 4 km, enjoying the scenic surroundings. The project is now in its final stages, and all work will be completed soon,” said  Ashok Madan, XEN, Bida.
