The discovery of surgical cuts on the victim's body, reported by a diligent cremation official, led to the perpetrator's apprehension.

The unsettling chain of events began at the Paschim Puri cremation ground in Punjabi Bagh, where an observant crematorium official, Sanjeev Chauhan, noticed something amiss. Rinku Yadav, a resident of Village Madipur in Punjabi Bagh, was present with the lifeless body of his father, Satish Yadav, to perform his final rites.
Suspicious Surgical Cuts
Upon closer examination of the deceased, Chauhan identified surgical cuts on the neck and forearm, which raised immediate concerns. Recognizing the need for further investigation, Chauhan took swift action by contacting the police control room.
Confession and Motive
Following the cremation official's alert, the Delhi Police arrived at the scene and initiated an inquiry. After sustained questioning, Rinku Yadav eventually confessed to the gruesome act. He admitted to using a blade to slit his father's throat, justifying his actions by claiming that his father's chronic drinking had become a source of continuous trouble for the family.
