Covid-19: AIIMS-Delhi issues advisory after staffers test positive

AIIMS Covid-19 Advisory Suggestions: 

• Use reusable cloth face coverings or surgical masks at the workplace
• Clean and sanitize the workplace regularly, particularly frequently touched surfaces
• Maintain personal hygiene and physical distancing
• Avoid gatherings, especially in canteens
• If feeling unwell, leave the workplace immediately after informing the reporting officer
• Home quarantine if experiencing any symptoms
• Higher-risk employees should take extra precautions

Preventive Measures to be Followed at the Workplace

The advisory also recommends maintaining personal hygiene and physical distancing while at work. The gathering of five or more people in any part of the office is to be avoided.

The advisory also asks employees to avoid gathering in canteens. If an employee feels unwell, they are advised to inform their reporting officer and leave the workplace immediately. Such employees should also home quarantine themselves.

Extra Precautions for Higher-Risk Employees
The advisory states that employees who are at higher risk, such as pregnant employees, older employees, or employees with underlying medical conditions, should take extra precautions.
