Bhilwara (Rajasthan): The Rajasthan state government's decision to increase women's reservation from 30% to 50% has sparked outrage among students. In response, students from the Sawaimadhopur-Kotdi tehsil area united to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister at the Kotdi sub-division headquarters on Thursday. They argued that the government's move to increase women's reservation for third-grade teacher recruitment is unjust. After reserving 50% of seats for women, there is still a quota for ex-servicemen, widows, and the differently-abled, leaving little opportunity for other students.

The students claimed that the government's decision has forced boys to consider suicide and that they are being discriminated against and denied employment opportunities. If the decision is not reversed, the students threatened to hold protests. Laveesh Jain stated that several students, including Omprakash Jat, Dinesh Kumar Khateek, Arvind Sharma, Bhavarlal Sah, Chhotulal Vaishnav, Vishal Sharma, and others, were present during the event.
