The official first look of Anushka Shetty's Bhaagamathie has been released and became the current talking point across the social media. The first look poster features the Telugu superstar standing against a wall with blood stains on her left hand and holds a hammer in her right hand. Going by the first look poster, Bhaagamathie promises to be an engaging horror thriller which is sure to thrill the fans of Anushka Shetty.

Ever since the first look poster revealed, many media reported that Anushka Shetty will be seen dual roles in the film.

However, Bhaagamathie director squashed the reports and confirmed that the Telugu superstar is doing solo role in his film. He also added that Bhaagamathie is neither a period drama nor a biopic of anyone.

"All these reports are baseless. Anushka Shetty is not doing dual roles in Bhaagamathie. It's neither a biopic or nor a period drama with fantasy elements. It's a thriller, though I wouldn't confine it to just one genre. There are a lot of other exciting factors too in the screenplay. We will reveal more information in the teaser", G Ashok said.

Jointly bankrolled by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner of UV Creations, Bhaagamathie also stars Malayalam actors Unni Mukundan, Jayaram and Asha Sarath along with an ensemble cast including Murali Sharma, Dhanraj, Prabhas Srinu, Vidyullekha Raman, Deva Darshan, Talaivasal Vijay, Ajay Ghosh and Madhu Nandan.
