Watch: BJP MLA Udaybhan threatens SDM Garima Singh in Agra, says, 'Don't you know I am an MLA? Don't you realize my power'

Amidst the BJP’s claim of getting off with the VIP culture, Uday Bhan Singh, the BJP MLA from Fatehpur Sikri has threatened the SDM Garima Singh and the video went viral.

In the video grab, the Fatehpur Sikri MLA had allegedly heard saying things to the SDM which are in objection to a legislature representing a constituency.

MLA Uday Bhan Singh has said, “Aap sarkar ke virudh kaam kar rahi hain…humein dikhaana chahti hain aap SDM hain? Aapko maloom nahi main vidhayak hun? Meri taakat ka ehsas nahi hai? Loktantra ka ehsas nahi hai? Ek naukar… (You are working against the government…you want to prove it to me that you are SDM? Do you not know that I am an MLA? Do you not realise my power… not realise democracy?… A servant…)”

His supporters and the public got incited with his comments and started raising slogans “MLA zindabad,” in contrary to some of them also shouting and said “SDM zindabad.”

The incident took place when MLA Singh had gone to Agra’s Kerawali tehsil, as there the distribution of relief items was being distributed for the crops which were eventually damaged to natural calamities.

As no complaint has been filed in the matter yet, The Indian Express reached out to the District Magistrate N G Ravi Kumar, who said, “I have called the SDM as well as the concerned MLA tomorrow to discuss the issue.”

Earlier, the news agency had tweeted saying, “Agra: BJP MLA Udaybhan Chaudhary threatens SDM Garima Singh, says 'Don't you know I am an MLA? Don't you realize my power, the power of democracy?' He had gone to meet the SDM over farmer issues.”
