Mother brutally beats 18-months-old baby with her fist; heart-wrenching video goes viral

In a shocking incident, footage of a woman mercilessly beating her eighteen-month-old child has gone viral on social media. Reportedly, the whole assault scene was recorded by the woman herself.

Since the video being surfaced on Internet, it has sparked outrage on social media. The incident took place in Andhra Pradesh’s Vallipuram.

The accused woman identified as Thulasi, 22, who got married to Vadivazhagan four years ago. The couple was staying at Mottur village in Tamil Nadu. They had two children.

According to India Today, the couple had constant arguments due to which they Vadivazhagan left Thulasi with her parents in Andhra Pradesh.

The video of Thulasi beating her child first saw by her relatives on her phone, who later informed Vadivazhagan about it.

In the gut-wrenching video, Thulasi can be seen brutally beating her 18-months-old baby with her fist. The child’s nose and mouth started bleeding due to the blows of the mother.

Reportedly, Thulasi often hit her child and also recorded the incident on her mobile phone.

In another viral video, she can be seen beating with her fist while in another video she showed the bruises and scars on the back of the child.

When the child’s father came to know about Thulasi activity, he rushed to Andhra Pradesh and brought his child back with him to Villupuram.

On the other hand, the child’s grandfather Gopalakrishnan told that they weren’t aware of the assault. However, they knew that Thulasi had taken the child to JIPMER hospital in Puducherry for treatment a month ago.

After the incident came to light on social media, netizens demanding police to take strict against Thulasi for her brutal act.

As per media reports, a case was registered against Thulasi at the Sathyamangalam police station in three sections. Police registered a case under the following section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 355 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person) of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 75 (abusing a child) of the Juvenile Justice Act, newsbricks.com reported.
