Virat Kohli's juggernaut have picked aggression from Kapil Dev era, says Viv Richards

Indian Skipper, 29-year-old Virat Kohli is going through tough times in his cricketing career, first after the worst performance from the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad securing six positions in the table tally of the 11th edition of Indian Premier League and second, he got ruled out from the County Championship this year disappointed the England Cricket fans.

As per reported in News 18, the legendary cricketer Viv Richards cited that-“What I know for sure is that he (Kohli) is an exciting player, and I remember in the past, the Indian team used to be very fragile in terms of when the sledging factor came into play, there were some fragileness attached to Indian teams".

The 66-year-old also said that Kapil Dev established a competitive avenue for Indian cricket.

“Kapil Dev created the avenue for India that you must be competitive,” he added.

The former Caribbean cricketer also added that the Indian cricketers have become more resilient than before.

“The Indian players have become quite resilient. They do not back down quite easily these days,” he stated.
