Wasim Akram, Happy Birthday : Akram's dream spell which guided Pakistan to lift 1992 World Cup, watch video

Former Pakistan Pacer or the Sultan of Swing, Wasim Akram who can move the ball the way he wants turns 52 year old on Sunday. He made his international debut against New Zealand at Faisalabad when he was a just 18-year-old teenager. 

Wasim Akram was the hero of the 1992 World Cup final, It was Akram's dream spell in which he created the way toward's the pavilion for England's Allan Lamb and Chris Lewis in back-to-back deliveries enabling Pakistan to lift the 1992 World Cup.

Wasim never played any first-class cricket and directly made his debut for National Team. He also had the honour to lead the side. He played 104 Tests and 356 ODI's in his international career.

He was born on 3 June 1966, regarded as the greatest left-arm spinner of all the time. Wasim scalped 414 Test wickets with an average of 23.62 and became the first bowler in ODI to reach the 500-wicket mark in ODI's finished his career with 502 wickets with an average of 23.52.

Interestingly, his career coincided with some of the world finest ODI's batsman in the opposition, like Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Dean Jones, Martin Crowe, Sourav Ganguly, Mark Waugh and many more.
