Shocking! After Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, PCB bans this Pakistani cricketer for ten years for involvement in spot-fixing

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned the Pakistani left hand batsman Nasir Jamshed for 10 years over spot-fixing investigations.

During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2017,the anti-corruption tribunal of the cricket board declared Jamshed guilty of violating its code of conduct under Articles 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3, 2.1.4 and 2.4.4.

PCB has accused Nasir Jamshed for five offences which included non-cooperation in the investigation, contact with bookies, inciting other players to take part in spot-fixing and hiding information.

As reported in Indian Express, “There are some cases which don’t make you happy despite you winning it. This is one such. Because a player has destroyed his career due to spot-fixing and failure to report approaches,” PCB’s lawyer Taffazul Rizvi told the reporters outside the PCB headquarters in Lahore.

Earlier, Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were given five-year ban for spot fixing in Test match against England at Lord's in 2010.
