From navy blue to baby blue, England cricket unveils new look kit ahead of World Cup
England has unveiled a new look kit ahead of the upcoming 2019 cricket World Cup. England cricket team will sport a baby blue jersey this time around as they did in the 1992 cricket World Cup. England reached finals of 1992 World Cup where they lost to Pakistan by 22 runs. England cricket team wants to repeat the same feat but hoping to finish on the winning side.
This year the tournament will follow the round-robin format where each team plays against one another before qualifying for the playoffs. The same format was followed in the 1992 World Cup when England reached the finals. The new jersey sponsored by New Balance has the three lions on the left chest with the official World Cup 2019 logo on the right side of the chest and England written at the middle of the t-shirt.
The World Cup 2019 will take place in England and Wales, starting from May 30 with host England playing against South Africa. England will look to win their first ever World Cup trophy as their fans would want the same.
Each team will play nine matches against every other team and at the end of it the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs. Host England, India, Australia and Pakistan are going as favorites into the tournament.
