The onset of the monsoon season has brought with it a surge in dengue and malaria cases in Sironj. The region is witnessing a proliferation of mosquitoes due to the presence of filth and mud, leading to an increase in the number of patients affected by these diseases.
According to reports, a dengue patient has been identified in Kasbatatal, and necessary measures such as surveys, medicine distribution, and precautions have been taken in the surrounding areas. However, despite these efforts, the region lacks effective measures to prevent the spread of dengue and malaria.
The administration has held several meetings to discuss ways to prevent the spread of these diseases, but the lack of implementation of these measures has resulted in little change on the ground. The situation is further complicated by the fact that there is no record of the number of patients affected by dengue and malaria in private hospitals and clinics.
Dr Vikas Baghel, BMO, said, "We have identified one dengue patient in Kasbatatal, and our team is conducting surveys and distributing medicine in the surrounding areas. The field staff is also active."
The rise in dengue and malaria cases has raised concerns among the local population, and it remains to be seen whether the administration will take concrete steps to address the issue.
