Rare Birth: Tribal Woman Gives Birth to Quadruplets, All Healthy
Sukma (Chhattisgarh): In a rare and joyful occurrence, a 24-year-old tribal woman from the Sukma district has given birth to quadruplets, all of whom are healthy. The new mother, Dasmee Kawasi, delivered two boys and two girls at a hospital in Jagdalpur on Thursday.
According to hospital sources, Dasmee was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday evening after experiencing labour pains. After a thorough examination, doctors operated on Thursday evening, and the quadruplets were born.
The babies weigh between 2 kg and 1.5 kg each, and both the mother and the babies are doing well. The family is overjoyed at the arrival of the quadruplets, and the hospital staff is also thrilled at the rare occurrence.
Dasmee's husband, Hidma Kawasi, said that this was his third marriage, and he had been longing for children for a long time. His first wife, Hungi, had a daughter who passed away 15 years ago due to illness. His second wife, Nande, did not conceive despite many years of marriage. Hidma then married Dasmee in 2021, and after three years, they have been blessed with quadruplets.
The doctors who attended to Dasmee were also surprised to find that she was carrying quadruplets. They had initially detected three fetuses during the sonography test but were shocked to find four babies during the operation.
The hospital staff and the family are taking good care of the new mother and the quadruplets, and everyone is relieved that the delivery was successful and the babies are healthy.
