Exclusive: 7th Pay Commission – Big win for employees; up to Rs. 10,000 expected increment in salaries
The meeting between the Railway employees' organizations and the Railway Ministry on Tuesday was very positive under the 7th Pay Commission. Employees' organization representatives were assured in the meeting that the employees would soon start getting allowances under the 7th Pay Commission.
File in this regard has been sent to the Railway Minister. Paying wages under the 7th Pay Commission will give thousands of rupees in salary to the employees. For example, if a guard of railway travels 100 kilometers in the present time, then he gets Running Allowance of Rs 235. Under the 7th Pay Commission, this allowance is proposed to be increased to Rs 525.
According to Zee Business Hindi, the old pension scheme at a meeting between railway personnel and ministry officials and many other issues has been extremely positive. All India Railway Men's Federation General Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the talks with the railway ministry were quite successful. Some issues have not been negotiated right now. The conversation will continue on Wednesday also. Employees have been assured that the running alliance will be given soon after the 7th Pay Commission. If Running Allowance is increased, Salary can increase up to Rs. 10,000.
