Barcelona striker Lionel Messi has been ruled out of their upcoming Supercopa de Espana match against Real Madrid due to a fractured arm.
The 31-year-old had sustained the injury following an awkward fall on his right arm in the 17th minute of their La Liga clash with Sevilla on Sunday.
"Tests carried out on the first team player Leo Messi have confirmed that he has a fracture of the radial bone in his right arm. He will be out for approximately three weeks," Barcelona FC confirmed on their official website.
Before facing Real Madrid, Barcelona are slated to play against Inter Milan in their Champions League match on October 25.
