FIFA World Cup 2018: Is Messi the reason why Argentina prisoners are going on a hunger strike? Here's the reality

FIFA World Cup 2018 is just on us  with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar and more set to glare-flare the watching audience with their incomparable dribbling skills.

Argentinian star player Lionel Messi might be playing his last FIFA World Cup 2018 so that this is the possible reason for the prisoners to go for a hunger strike. Prisoners want to have a glimpse of their Argentina's breathe Lionel Messi and his team mate on TV. 

Intrestingly, around 400 eager fans turned out at Argentina’s World Cup base camp to catch a glimpse of Lionel Messi and his team-mates at an open training session.

Prisoners in Argentina Prison began have the  hunger strike for repairing the cable TV system so they can watch their favourite players in FIFA World Cup 2018.

“Cable television is an indispensable right for everyone deprived of their liberty,” according to a statement from nine inmates at Puerto Madryn jail some 1,300 kilometers (800 miles) south of Buenos Aires.

“It hasn’t been working for three days. And we have decided not to receive any food until the problem is resolved,” the prisoners wrote.

However, the cable system, located in a common area of the jail, was damaged recently and yet not repaired.

Russia will going to witness 32 nations competing for the fansy trophy. Each team has fielded a 23-man squad for the quadrennial event. The tournament is commencing from June 14 and will continue till July 15.The 21st edition of FIFA’s quadrennial juggernaut will kick off at the 80,000-seater Luzhniki stadium, Moscow.

Argentina will kick off their FIFA World Cup on 16th June with a much anticipated matchup with Iceland. After that they will play against Croatia on 21st June and round off play in Group D with a matchup against Nigeria on 26th June.
