Tiruchi: In a remarkable feat, an 18-year-old tribal girl from Tiruchi has made history by securing admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT), defying all odds. Rohini, who belongs to the Scheduled Tribe community, has cracked the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and is all set to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering at NIT Tiruchi.
Born and brought up in a rural setting, Rohini's journey to success is a testament to her determination and hard work. Despite facing numerous challenges, she managed to excel in her studies and achieve her goal. Her family, which belongs to the disadvantaged section of society, has been a constant source of inspiration and support.
Rohini's day begins early, as she helps her parents in their agricultural activities before devoting time to her studies. Her dedication and perseverance have paid off, as she secured 73.8% marks in the JEE Main examination, earning her a seat in the prestigious institution.
The Tamil Nadu state government played a crucial role in Rohini's success, providing financial assistance to help her pursue her education. Rohini expressed her gratitude to the government and her teachers, who have been instrumental in her success.
"I am proud to be a tribal student who has cracked the JEE examination and secured a seat in NIT Tiruchi," Rohini said, beaming with pride. "I have chosen Chemical Engineering as my preferred stream, and I am grateful to the Tamil Nadu government for their support."
Rohini's achievement is all the more remarkable considering the humble background she comes from. Her parents are daily wage labourers, and her family lives in a small village called Chinnal Iluppur. Despite the many challenges they face, Rohini's family has always encouraged her to pursue her dreams.
Rohini's success is an inspiration to many, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Her story is a testament to the fact that with determination and hard work, anything is possible, regardless of one's circumstances.
