The past week has seen a steady increase in temperature and humidity, leading to a rise in viral fever cases. The hospital's wards and beds are full, with patients complaining of fever, vomiting, and diarrhoea. The situation has been further exacerbated by contaminated water and food.
Over 100 Lab Tests Conducted Daily
The lab at the Civil Hospital is conducting over 100 tests daily, including CBC, Vidal, and BP tests. Doctors are advising people to take precautions, such as avoiding contaminated food and water, maintaining cleanliness, and getting enough rest.
Even Two-Month-Old Babies Affected
The viral fever outbreak has affected even young children, with over a dozen babies between two to six months old being treated for fever.
Experts Warn of Changing Weather Patterns
Doctors attribute the rise in viral fever and typhoid cases to the changing weather patterns. They warn that the hot and humid weather is conducive to the spread of diseases and advise people to take necessary precautions.
