Rajasthan Government's Budget: A Mixed Bag of Reactions
Jaipur: The Rajasthan government's budget has sparked a range of reactions from various stakeholders, with some hailing it as a development-oriented and employment-generating budget, while others have expressed disappointment and criticism.
According to the budget, 70,000 government jobs will be created, and a "one state, one panchayat" election will be held. Additionally, 25 lakh new water connections will be provided, and an award of Rs 10,000 will be given to those who help transport accident victims to hospitals. The budget also focuses on environmental conservation, with initiatives such as "Green Rajasthan" and "Green Cooking Gas".
Varsha Manish Chandwad, Chairman of Jhalrapatan Municipality, praised the budget, saying it will benefit the people of the state and promote development and employment opportunities.
Yogesh Jhadiya, President of the Cloth Merchants Association, echoed similar sentiments, stating that the budget will benefit the poor and marginalized sections of society through schemes such as the Chief Minister's Swani Dhan Yojana and the Baba Sahab Ambedkar Ideal Village Development Scheme.
Babita Sethi, President of the BJP Women's Wing, welcomed the budget's focus on women's empowerment, which includes plans to create 15 lakh lakhpati didis, establish hostels for working women, and set up Balika Sainik Schools for girls.
However, not everyone is pleased with the budget. Vijay Singh Rathore, Congress leader from Jhalrapatan, criticized the budget, saying it lacks vision and does not provide for the development of Jhalawar or the conservation of the Chandrabhaga River. He also expressed disappointment that the budget does not address the issue of inflation and provide relief to the common man.
The budget has been hailed as a mixed bag, with some seeing it as a positive step towards development and employment generation, while others have expressed disappointment and criticism.
