Empty Posts Affect Government Schemes, Common Man Suffers

Khandar: The posts of SDM, Tehsildar, Nayab Tehsildar, Girdawar, and Patwari, which are considered the backbone of the revenue department, are lying vacant in Khandar Assembly constituency and sub-district headquarters. Due to this, the common man is facing difficulties in getting their work done, and government schemes are being affected.

The posts of SDM and Tehsildar are vacant in Khandaar sub-district headquarters, which is causing problems in the implementation of government schemes. The revenue, panchayati raj, and education departments are in a bad state. There is no one to listen to the problems of the common man. In such a situation, the work is being managed by acting officers.

Chauth Ka Barwada SDM and VDO have been given the additional charge of Khandaar. The villagers said that Chauth Ka Barwada SDM Damodar Singh and VDO Rajaram Meena have been given the additional charge of Khandaar. Due to this, the officers are spending most of their time travelling between the two sub-districts, which is affecting the government work.

One Tehsildar and two Nayab Tehsildar posts are vacant. The post of Tehsildar has been vacant in Khandaar sub-district headquarters for the past nine months. Currently, Nayab Tehsildar Dharmendra Tasera has been given the charge of Tehsildar. Similarly, the post of Nayab Tehsildar in Bahrawanda Kalan has been vacant for the past one year, which is affecting the revenue and judicial work.

Obstacles in Education-related Work

Due to the negligence of the education department, many posts, including CBEEO and ACEEO, are lying vacant. This is causing problems in the inspection, monitoring, and maintenance of school buildings. Many important works have been affected for several months, but no one is paying attention to this.

42 Posts of Patwari Approved, 19 Working

According to the information received from the tehsil office, there are 42 approved posts of Patwari in the sub-district headquarters. Currently, 24 Patwaris have been transferred, and only 19 are working. Each of the working Patwaris has been given the charge of two Patwar Mandal. The villagers are facing problems due to the delay in getting their work done, and they are being forced to make rounds of the Patwari's office.

"After the assembly elections, all the vacant posts in the assembly constituency will be filled," said Jitendra Gothwal, MLA Khandaar.
