Football Tournament Winners Receive Trophy

Kharagpur: The West Medinipur District Sports Institute organized a football tournament, which concluded with the College Ground Football Academy emerging as the champion. In the final match, the Academy defeated the Police Athletics Club by 3-1 goals, claiming the Victory Trophy.

The tournament was held at the Sri Arvind Stadium in Medinipur city, with eight teams from four mahakumas of West Medinipur and four mahakumas of Jhargram participating. The College Ground Football Academy and Police Athletics Club made it to the finals.

The final match was attended by prominent guests, including West Medinipur Superintendent of Police, Dhritiman Sarkar, Trinamool Congress district president, Sujay Hajra, and Sandeep Singh, a member of the District Sports Institute. After the match, Superintendent of Police Dhritiman Sarkar presented the Victory Trophy to the winning team members.

The tournament was a grand success, with the College Ground Football Academy proving their mettle in the final match. The event was well-organized and witnessed enthusiastic participation from all teams.
