Sheldon Cottrell's savage reply in Hindi at Mohammed Shami's salute dig: Video
During the match between India and West Indies, Mohammed Shami took a dig at Sheldon Cottrell after he was dismissed by Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Mohammed Shami mimicked Sheldon's march and salute celebration after the Caribbean lost his wicket.
Sheldon has now replied to Mohammed Shami on Twitter and his reply came in Hindi. Sheldon’s savage reply has gained a lot of likes as he wrote, “Great fun! Great bowling. Nakal Karna Hi Sabse Badi Chaploosi Hai.”
Sheldon Cottrell is known for his unique celebration as every time he picks up a wicket he walks on and salutes in Army style. Cottrell was a soldier by profession and he salutes to show his respect to the Jamaica Defence Force, the West Indies bowler explained to BBC earlier this year.
India defeated West Indies by 125 runs and Mohammed Shami was a key part of it. Shami took his second four-wicket haul in his second game of World Cup 2019. Mohammed Shami in his first match against Afghanistan became the second Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in a World Cup match.
West Indies is out of the semi-final race while India needs one more win to qualify for the semi-final. India will play against England on June 30 in Birmingham.
