England cricket team get WWE championship belt from Triple H after World Cup heroics
England Cricket team get a customized belt from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) after their World Cup win at Lord’s this year. WWE Hall of Famer, 14-time World Champion and WWE Executive Vice President Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced the custom WWE Championship Title on social media last month.
England won their first-ever World Cup in July this year after beating New Zealand in a nail-biting final. England became only the third team to win a World Cup at home after India in 2011 and Australia in 2015. England all-rounder Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler helped their team with both of them scoring half-century each while Jofra Archer helped them defeat 15 runs in the super-over.
England cricketers Jason Roy, Joe Root, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer took turns to pose with the iconic belt before the start of their training at Lord’s cricket ground where they won the final.
England is currently locking horns against Australia in Ashes series which is level at 1-1 after three matches. Ben Stokes helped his team chase a historic total at Headingley where he scored 135 not-out. The knock from Ben Stokes is considered one of the best Ashes cricket has seen in 140 years.
