Gorillas
Gorillas, the largest living primates, are known for their immense strength. However, they exhibit a contrasting calmness and live in stable family groups led by a dominant male and multiple females. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), these remarkable creatures possess well-developed social structures and display behaviors and emotions similar to humans. Both male and female gorillas express love for their offspring through acts of hugging and playing.
While generally calm, gorillas can exhibit aggression in certain situations. In addition to their strength, gorillas demonstrate high intelligence, sharing 98.3 percent of their DNA with humans. WWF states that gorillas are our cousins, following chimpanzees and bonobos.
IFS Nanda shared the clip with the caption, “Baby Gorilla meets the Father for the first time.”
