Saamy Square: Chiyaan Vikram is back with a bang as DCP Aarusaamy in the terrific motion poster of Saamy sequel
The official motion poster of Chiyaan Vikram's Saamy Square has been released. As promised on Wednesday, the makers released the motion poster of the Vikram film on Thursday evening at IST 6.00 PM. Written and directed by Singam maker Hari, the action-entertainer is a sequel to his 2003 blockbuster, Saamy, which also starred Vikram in the main lead role. Bankrolled by Shibu Thameens under Thameens Films, Saamy Square stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.

The motion poster starts off with a computer graphic version of deputy commissioner of police Aarusaamy sitting on a signpost three kilometres from Tirunelveli. The motion poster also features the graphic version of two dogs sit on either side of the sickle-holding Aarusaamy, who's facing the Tirunelveli side. The superstar is reportedly portraying dual roles in the film which also stars veteran actor Prabhu and Bobby Simha as well.
Saamy is touted as one of the biggest hits of Vikram's career. The Hari directorial saw the national award winning actor in a mass avatar and the film had set the Tamil Nadu Box Office on fire upon its release. Vikram portrayed the role of a cop, DCP Aarusaamy in the film. The success of Saamy had also set the trend of police films in Kollywood as well.
