Seems like the success of Baahubali series has worked in favor of Rana Daggubati to bag some unique projects. His films post the release of Baahubali 2, The Ghazi Attack and Nene Raju Nene Mantri turned out to be Box Office hits as well. His upcoming films include Hathi Mere Saathi, 1945 and Marthanda Varma.

And now, if Telugu media reports are to be believed, the 'Bhallaladeva' of Baahubali series is all set to play the lead role in the biopic of a legendary wrestler.

Reportedly, Rana Daggubati is set to portray the titular role of Kodi Rammurthy Naidu, an Indian wrestler who stunned the British empire with his wrestling skills in the early 20th century. Two leading production companies are coming forward to bankroll the untitled film.

Kodi Rammurthy Naidu also worked as a Physical Education Teacher in the Branch College of Vizianagaram. He was so popular that King George even conferred the titles like Indian Hercules and Kaliyuga Bheema to him. Kodi Rammurthy Naidu earned a lot of money through his circus company, but donated it to the charitable trusts and contributed a lot in the Indian independence movement.

An official confirmation on this is expected to be announced soon.
