Former Uttar Pradesh CM and BSP chief president Mayawati on Friday slammed the Stae government alleging that there is a rise in crime against women in UP. Her reaction about the crimes against women came after the four accused in the rape and murder of woman veterinarian in Hyderabad were shot dead in the early morning.

"Crimes against women are on the rise in Uttar Pradesh, but the state government is sleeping. There is a 'jungle raj' in UP right now' said the BSP chief. The state police should take inspiration from the Hyderabad police, however, the criminals are being treated as state guests," the BSP chief.

She also suggested the Delhi police learn from the Hyderabad Police.

 

All the four people accused in the rape and murder of woman veterinarian in Telangana were killed in an encounter with the police in between 3 am and 6 am today.

The accused in the rape and murder case were killed in an encounter with the police when the accused tried to escape while being taken to the crime spot.

On Thursday, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan also expressed frustration and helpless on the 'rise in crime rates' in India. 
While responding to reporter's questions on 'rise in crime cases'  in UP Jaya Bachchan said: "Where is the security in Uttar Pradesh. If I tell you the crime incidents in Uttar Pradesh, you all will be shocked".

As per reports, senior Police officials have arrived at the site of the encounter. All four accused in the rape and murder of woman veterinarian in Telangana were killed in an encounter with the police when the accused tried to escape while being taken to the crime spot.

"The accused Mohammed Arif, Naveen, Shiva and Chennakeshavulu were killed in a Police encounter at Chatanpally, Shadnagar today in the wee hours, between 3 am and 6 am. I have reached the spot and further details will be revealed," said Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar.
