Udaipur Shocker: Village Development Officer accused of rape, forced conversion and marriage

A 57-year-old village development officer has been accused of raping a 38-year-old woman and forcing her to convert to Islam and marry him.

The victim, in her complaint, stated that Ajmal Khan intoxicated her drink and raped her when she fell unconscious. She further alleged that the accused recorded the video of the act and blackmailed her. The woman further claimed that Khan allegedly threatened her to kidnap her 8-year-old girl and sell her in the neighbouring state if she doesn't accept his demands.

As per the woman, Ajmal Khan forcibly married her in December 2021 after getting her converted to Islam. She also alleged that the accused changed her and her daughter’s names and removed god’s idols from home.

The complaint further stated that the accused repeatedly thrashed her and also filed a case under Section 420 against the woman complainant.

According to the police, Ajmal Khan is already married to two women. Based on the complaint, police have filed a case against the accused under relevant section of the IPC and are also trying to verify the claims of the complainants.

Further investigation is underway.
