Shocking! Man gets call on his phone, dies in seconds; here's why
We are very much addicted to our cell phones--- on social media, chatting and calls. But, what if your cell phone turns into 'Yumraj' and kills you in a fraction of seconds? What if you get a call and you don't know it is your last one? Yes, recently, a 31-year-old physically challenged man got a call on his cell phone that he received but unfortunately it turned out to be his last.
Reports suggest that Changu Mastan Reddy was received a call on his cell phone that was connected to a charger. As soon as he answered the call, connected to a charger, it exploded that took his life. The incident reportedly took place at Reddy's Vagupalli residence which falls under the Kanigiri Mandal in Prakasham district.
According to the Times of India, the deceased lived alone and was found by neighbours who saw him lying dead on the floor on Monday night. Upon investigation, police officials found out that short circuit caused by high voltage, in separate incidents on the same day, damaged two fans in Reddy’s village.
“The phone’s battery may have exploded due to overheating amid high voltage at Vagupalli village. The differently abled man used to live alone on a monthly government pension of ₹1,000,” police said.
“The phone was badly burnt rendering its make impossible to find out, but added that the back case of a Samsung mobile phone was found near Mastan Reddy’s body.” Kanigiri inspector M Subbarao said. The kin of the deceased completed the formalities at the hospital and took his body home.
A case under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered in connection with Reddy’s death and a police probe is currently underway.
