Watch: Sharad Pawar resigns as NCP chief

Veteran politician Sharad Pawar on May 2 announced that he is stepping down as the president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

"I am resigning from the post of the national president of NCP," said Pawar.

However, several NCP leaders and workers broke into tears and requested Pawar to take back his decision of quitting as party chief.
