New Delhi: A couple was apprehended by the police in Janak Puri, New Delhi, on Tuesday for stealing a car, drawing inspiration from the Bollywood characters Bunty and Babli.
The accused have been identified as 27-year-olds Sandeep Munna and Reena, both residents of Palam, Delhi.

The incident unfolded on February 22 at 10:46 PM, with an individual reporting that the couple had stolen his vehicle after he had offered them a lift.
According to the complainant, he assisted the seemingly distressed couple, only to have his car disappear when he momentarily left it unattended.

Following the complaint, the police registered a case under IPC sections 379 and 34. A dedicated team was formed to conduct a thorough investigation.

Building on Sandeep's information, the police arrested Reena and successfully recovered the stolen laptop.

Sandeep Munna and Reena were found to be cohabiting in the Uttam Nagar area of West Delhi. Reports suggest that their alcohol addiction and financial struggles played a role in their decision to resort to theft.
