Rajasthan Paper Leak: 'More worried than BJP', says CM Gehlot
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on January 23 stated that his government is more concerned about the issue of paper leaks in the state than the BJP. He also highlighted that his government has created the highest number of jobs in comparison to any other state in the country.
Gehlot acknowledged that paper leaks are a problem that is not limited to Rajasthan, and that it is an issue that is present in other states as well, including those governed by the BJP. He emphasized that his government is taking necessary steps to prevent such incidents and ensure the integrity of the examination process.
“We are more worried about the paper leak issue than BJP. We have created the maximum number of jobs in comparison to any other state. Paper leaks are happening in every state including the ones with the BJP government,” he said.
Earlier, BJP held massive protests across the state regarding the paper leak issue and alleged that it is playing with the future of candidates. The BJP also demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the paper leak case.
Police arrested as many as 55 people in connection with the case. The arrested individuals included the alleged ‘mastermind’ of the paper leak.
The ‘mastermind’ identified as Suresh Vishnoi, who works as a headmaster at a government school in the Jalore district. The accused were produced before the court and were sent to police remand.
Police investigation into the case is underway.
