Digvijaya Singh demands proof of surgical strike
Congress party veteran leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh again questioned the authenticity of the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army against terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Targeting the Central Government, Singh stated that BJP leaders talk about the surgical strike and killing of several terrorists, but they have not provided any proof of the operation.
“They(Centre) keep harping on surgical strikes. They talk about how many were killed in surgical strikes but there is no proof of it,” Singh said at a public rally in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ironically, the grand old party’s veteran leader commented on the surgical strike on the day of freedom fighter Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary. The day is celebrated in the country as Parakram Diwas.
Earlier in the day, Digvijaya Singh also reacted to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks on Rahul Gandhi that he is defaming the country by saying that there's hatred in India. Taking a jibe at the Defence Minister, Singh said, “Rajnath Singh should listen to UP CM Yogi Adityanath's speeches. He is spreading hatred by openly talking about killing people.”
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is underway in Jammu.
