Rahul Gandhi on Alwar Lynching: PM Narendra Modi 'New India' is brutal where people are crushed and left to die
On Friday night in Alwar, a youth named Rakbar was lynched by a mob over suspicion of cow smuggling. Questions are raising on the role of Rajasthan Police on the murder of Rakbar. After this, there has been a furore across the country. Congress President Rahul Gandhi has targeted PM Modi over the lynching issue. Rahul lashes out at PM Modi and his 'New India' scheme and said that in the new India of PM Modi, hatred has taken place in the place of humanity.
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi took Twitter to slam PM Narendra Modi, he tweeted, “Policemen in #Alwar took 3 hrs to get a dying Rakbar Khan, the victim of a lynch mob, to a hospital just 6 KM away. Why? They took a tea-break enroute. This is Modi’s brutal “New India” where humanity is replaced with hatred and people are crushed and left to die.”
Earlier, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the role of the state police. Owaisi had said that the murder of the Rakbar has happened with the collusion of Rajasthan Police and cow- protectors. He said that I am not surprised at the police action. The police's role was similar to last year's murder of Paru Khan. Police of Rajasthan promotes guards.
Over the suspicion of cow smuggling, the alleged guards had beaten the Rakbar and Aslam on the night of Friday. In the meantime, Aslam managed to escape, but he was rushing to the racket. In this case, questions are being raised about the role of the police. It is alleged that the police was arranging the car for the cow instead of taking the victim to the hospital.
