Kochi Naval base accident: 2 Navy officers die, 3 injured as door of a helicopter hangar falls on them; inquiry ordered

A disaster occurred at the naval base in Kochi where two naval officers have died after the gate of the helicopter hangar fell on them.

The incident had occurred today morning, when the Southern Naval Command was gearing up for the take-off of the Helicopter but the hangar’s door fell off it and 2 navy personnel who were standing right below it died, and 3 other officers were injured.

A court of inquiry has been ordered in the case and the injured officers have been admitted to the nearby hospital.
