Here's how you can register online to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan
The work on to facilitate the pilgrimage of Indian devotees to visit Kartarput Sahid Gurudwara in Pakistan will be done by the end of the October. Although, the online registration to visit will begin from Sunday onwards. All the issues including a proposed service charge fee of US $20 on Indian pilgrims by Pakistan have resolved.
Govind Mohan, Chairperson of Land Ports Authority of India told PTI that the online registration on the newly launched website will open from 20th October. He confirmed the work at the 'ground zero' site of Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab's Gurdaspur district also has been completed.
Kartarpur Corridor's 4.1 KM work on connecting Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab to Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan will be completed by 31st October. It will be completed just four days before the celebrations to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Sikhism founder Guru Nanak Dev.
The devotees can register through an online portal that recently launched www.550yearsofgurunanakdevji.com to celebrate the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. All information related to events around the celebration will be updated on the website. It's not clear that the official online registration will be updated on Punjab government's website or the same website.
Indian pilgrims won't need a visa for visiting Kartarpur Sahib but they need a passport to enter Pakistan. The devotees will have to register one month advance for their pilgrimage in the order to hassle, said Mohan.
