€Greater Noida Shocker: 2-year-old girl's body found stuffed in bag at neighbour's house

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) have become hubs of crime, with heinous crimes being reported here every day. Whether it is rape, assault, kidnapping or abduction, Delhi-NCR ranks in the top three in all these violent crimes among all metro cities in the country.

In another shocking incident, a body of a 2-year-old girl was found stuffed in a bag in Greater Noida’s Surajpur area, police said on April 10.

The deceased child’s parents had lodged a missing complaint at the Surajpur Police Station April 8, following which cops initiated a probe. The bag in which the girl’s body was stuffed was found in the same house where the victim was living with her family. The bag was found in a room of a person who was living on rent in the same house.

According to Central Noida ADCP Rajeev Dixit, the man is absconding and a hunt is on to nab him. “The person is still absconding. Postmortem of the dead body has been done, investigation is on,” he said.

The autopsy of the body has been completed, and the body will be handed over to the family for the last rites.

The police have added the charge of murder in the FIR and are investigating the matter.
