Delhi: Man stabbed to death, 4 accused held
New Delhi: A 22-year-old man died during treatment at a hospital, hours after he was allegedly stabbed by another man in Delhi's Prasad Nagar following a quarrel, police said on Saturday.
Police Arrest Four Suspects
Four people were arrested two hours following the incident. A case has been registered, and the accused have been identified as Jugnu, Amit, Vicky, and Karan. All of them work in jeans factories, police said.
Incident Reported at Prasad Nagar Police Station
Information regarding the stabbing was received at Prasad Nagar police station during the intervening night of 15-16 August. Subsequently, a 22-year-old male, Monu, died during treatment in the hospital, police said.
Accused and Victim Were Neighbours
The accused as well as the deceased hail from the same neighbourhood in Bapa Nagar and know each other well. Investigation so far revealed that Karan stabbed the deceased Monu during a quarrel. The knife has been recovered, police said.
Quarrel Stemmed from a Minor Accident
"The quarrel started when Jugnu's scooty and a vehicle driven by the deceased's friend Neeraj had a minor accident two hours before this stabbing incident. The accident was not reported to police by either party," police said.
Victim Had Prior Criminal Involvement
Deceased Monu had a past criminal involvement in a hurt case, police said.
Similar Incident in Dwarka Area
On August 15, an 18-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death in the national capital, police said on Wednesday. The victim, identified as Ashu, was stabbed to death in the Dwarka area of the national capital. The accused, a child in conflict with the law (CCL) was apprehended, police said.
