Chhattisgarh: Maoists plant 25kg IED in middle of road, detected

A team of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) recovered 25 kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from Nelsnar-Mirtur-Gangloor main road in on January 7. Explosive was planted in the middle of the road to cause a major mishap.

According to the police, the IED was planted by Maoists in the middle of the road aiming to damage a large vehicle.

The recovered IED was attached to a command system, police said.

Investigation is underway.
