BJP wants Shatrughan Sinha, Yashwant to resign; here's why the Saffron party is not taking action against its rebel leaders
Two senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha and Patna MP Shatrughan Sinha have been going all out to criticize the party’s high commands and its policies. Yashwant Sinha vociferously criticized the Narendra Modi government for its economic policies. Shatrughan Sinha too criticized the party’s high commands several times. Yet, the saffron party is not taking action against them. Why?
Because, the party wants them resign themselves, it will not take action against them.
Talking to India Today, BJP Disciplinary Committee president Ganeshi Lal said, "Let them resign from the BJP and then they should abuse the party to the extent they like."
The two rebels also met West Bengal Chief Minister, who is a fierce critic of the BJP and Narendra Modi, during her latest visit to Delhi to unite the opposition parties against the BJP.
Despite all this, the BJP will take any action against them. Instead, it wants them to quit the party.
Ganeshi Lal cited some reasons for not taking any disciplinary action against them despite their open criticism to the party. He said the party president does not find any such words and deeds in their criticism that can cause their removal.
"Amit Shah has already said the words and deeds of Shatrughan Sinha and Yashwant Sinha do not invite any disciplinary proceedings,” said Lal.
Attacking Yashwant Sinha, he said "Yashwant Sinha attacks the BJP despite the party having made his son (Jayant Sinha) a Union minister. This is highly unfortunate. Remaining in the BJP and abusing the party and its leaders cannot be justified," he said. Why don't you resign? Why are you vomiting?"
Earlier, Yashwant Sinha said in a television discussion that he will be happy if the party now takes action against them.
