In the latest development of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's blue Wagon R robbery, a sword has been found in the blue hatchback, said officials.
The car was stolen right outside the government's headquarters in the capital.
The car has played a prominent role during the first election that he fought for becoming CM of capital.
Dubbed as "AAP Mobile" the car gained popularity when Kejriwal used to protest against Delhi police in 2014.
Kejriwal's car was traced near Ghaziabad's Mohan Nagar. “A car of the same make colour and model has been traced in Mohan Nagar Ghaziabad. We are verifying the engine and chassis number,” said a Delhi Police official.
Significantly, a real sword has been spotted from the car.
“There is no damage to the car and she doors were found locked. The Delhi police officials have also arrived and the car will be handed over to them for further investigation. The car was spotted around 8.15am at the spot and our officials brought it to the police station,” said an official from Sahibabad police station.
A Wagon R car, used by Delhi Chief Minister ArvindKejriwal till the 2015 assembly polls, was stolen outside the Delhi Secretariat today, the police said.
The humble Blue hatchback, which became synonymous with Kejriwal's 'aam aadmi' image, was being used by an AAP functionary these days.
"The car was parked outside the Delhi Secretariat. It went missing around 1 am," a senior police official said.
The car was donated to Kejriwal by Kundan Sharma, a software enginner, in January 2013.
