As soon the most awaited controversial film The Accidental Prime Minister movie’s trailer was out a fresh controversy was triggered by the grand old party Congress-ruled by Gandhis. The war of words has been making a row over the film as Congress claims the film is BJP’s latest propaganda to win 2019 polls by portraying Gandhis especially Sonia Gandhi as a villain. On the ongoing outrages reel life Manmohan Singh, Anupam Kher reacted to the protest by the main Opposition.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher who portrayed the role of Manmohan Singh in his upcoming film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister responded to the row and said, “More they protest, more publicity they will give to the film. The book has been out since 2014, no protests were held since then, so the film is based on that.”
While reacting on Maharashtra Youth Congress objecting to film The Accidental Prime Minister, Anupam Kher said, “Haal hi main Rahul Gandhi ji ka tweet padha tha, jisme freedom of expression pe unhone bola tha, toh I think unko daatna chahiye un logon ko ki aap ghalat baat kar rahe ho.”
“ Un ke (Congress) neta pe film bani hai, they should be happy, aapko bheed lekar bhejni chahiye film dekhne ke liye, kyunki dialogues hain usme jaise ki “ main desh ko bechunga?” jis se lagta hai ki kitne mahaan hain Manmohan Singh Ji," Kher added.
The movie that stars Anupam Kher, Akshay Khanna, Aahana Kumra, Suzanne Bernet and Arjun Mathur will be released on January 11th 2019 in the election season.
