Summer is here and during the season, you all have noticed a sudden influx of ants either in your gardens or in your home. Like other insects, ants are not so harmful.

But when they start to increase inside our home, it’s time to get rid of them. You can do this by using your home ingredients.

A Facebook user was looking for a solution to get evict the ants from her garden.

She asked for advice in a Mrs Hinch group where she got the solution.

She asked the group members, “Help! My whole garden has been infested with ants. I don’t mean a few, they have almost taken over.

"I have a large garden and have tried so many organic answers but they just get worse.

"Even walking on the grass and standing for a minute or two leaves you covered with ants. Has anyone got any ideas?"

Group members were quickly responded to her query and shared some easy tips, tricks, and advice in the comment box to fix a woman’s problem.

The most common and popular advice given by users was to use icing sugar mixed with baking soda to get rid of ants.

One of the users said, “Use icing sugar with a bit of baking soda to sprinkle around the nest and it will kill them all instantly."

While another commented, “Baking soda with icing sugar was the only thing that worked for me."

“Yes, icing sugar and baking soda worked for me too. Make sure to top it up every day,” a user wrote.

The powdered sugar will attract the ants to the mixture. They will carry it back to their nest and eat it with their other ants.

After eating the mixture, the baking soda will dry out their bodies and kill them.
