Gruesome CCTV footage shows woman severely mauled by her pet pit bull

A horrifying security camera footage has surfaced on social media wherein a 25-year-old woman was mauled by her pet pit bull. Somehow she managed to crawl into an elevator in a desperate attempt to escape from the attack.

The incident took place in the Prados district of Cucuta, in Colombia, on March 17.

The dog attacked the 25-year-old woman when she was tying her shoe in her apartment.

In the ferocious attack video, large stains of blood can be seen on the floor with the woman trying to escape from the gruesome attack. Several severe bite wounds can be seen on her body.

The unidentified woman tried to seek help from her neighbors by crawling out of her apartment, but she made it to the elevator, where the whole incident was captured on the surveillance camera.

According to Mirror, the woman was in her flat, which she shared with three others and where the dog also lived.

The Cúcuta police said the woman suffered fractures on fingers on her right hand, multiple fractures on her left hand, and lacerations in the upper extremities.

However, the brave woman attempted to push the pit bull away by jamming her right hand into its face, and then she managed to press the elevator button to get down to the lobby. 

Meanwhile, authorities to administer a behavioral study on the pit bull and determine its future, including the possibility of euthanizing it, Daily Mail Online reported.
