The biggest hair myths you should dump urgently!
We should take care of our hair in every way possible because when it comes to make you look presentable, it plays a very important role.
It has the ability to change your entire appearance. People usually style their hair accordingly if they are going to the office or party.
For a proper care and nourishment, you should eat proper food and fruits.
Today, in this article, we are going to reveal some of the hair myths which will give you a clear idea of how to protect your hair.
Myth: Constant brushing makes your hair silky
People always thought that brushing hair every time will make their hair silky but turns out it didn't.
"Your hair is delicate and should only be brushed when necessary," advises Dr. Tim Moor, PhD in microelectronics from Cambridge University and chief technology officer. "Over-brushing can damage your scalp and hair cuticles." To brush safely, Dr. Moore suggesting investing in a paddle brush; the big, flat shape is smoothing and anti-static.
True: Don't brush your hair when it is wet
If you brush your hair after you out of the shower, then you're making your hair weak. It is a strict "No". "A brush may actually tear your water-weakened locks, causing instant breakage," says Dr. Moore. "Use a wide-spaced comb, and go slowly to minimise damage."
True: Washing hair every day is may damage your hair
Many of you may not know this but hair becomes weak when it's wet. "Washing removes the natural oils, which are helpful in reducing frizz and protecting your hair." The one exception to this rules is "ultra-fine and oily hair types," says Dr. Moore, which may need daily washing. For all other hair types "washing every other day is usually best."
Myth: Leaving hair loose overnight is best
"Definitely tie your hair up when you sleep," advises Dr. Moore. "Clumping the hair together means it is more resistant to breakage. It is a bit like a rope - one fiber in a rope is very weak, but bundle them together and you can pull a ship. It is exactly the same with hair."
Myth: Oiling is not Good, always
People think oiling hair regularly is good, however, it is not quite. Don't apply oil more than required because when we apply it, we require a higher amount of shampoo to get rid of that oil. We just have to gently massage to increase the blood circulation/blood flow in our head.
#Myth: Don't use shampoo everyday
There is no correct time for shampoo your hair. Whenever you think your hair is dirty, you should use shampoo to wash it off. If dirt is present in your hair then it will not do any good so it is better to wash it away. Don't use soap and use natural shampoo.
If your hair is too weak then don't use shampoo daily. A shampoo with conditioner will clean it, your hair and also it will improve the texture and shine.
#Myth: Colouring may damage your hair
Colouring hair is in the fashion and it actually looks good but it does have the side-effects.
But if you have decided that you want to do it anyway, then make sure you take extra care of your hair. Use the good quality product for the safe side and get hair spa twice in a month.
