People offer fresh fruits such as mangoes and papayas. This festival is very similar to those of the Indian Holi Festival, the Chinese Ching Ming, and the Christian Festival of Easter.
Today is the second day of Songkran Festival. This is called the Family Day in Thailand. On this day most of the family go out on picnic and road trips and also organise a house party.
Festival is extended for a couple of days seeing people full of energy. Local residents indulge in water fights and continue their journeys to other regions of Thailand.
