PETA India gifts an Indian bull named 'Merry' to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their wedding
Royal wedding update: Prince Charles will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle to marry Prince Harry
An Indian bull named 'Merry' is gifted by PETA India to the royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The bull is a hybrid of Meghan and Harry's name.
The bull that was rescued after a lifetime of pulling heavy carts by PETA India is currently in a sanctuary in Maharashtra. Although it won't go to the cooler climate of England yet, PETA India will send a framed photograph of the bull to the couple as a wedding gift.
PETA India believes that rescuing the bull is a perfect wedding gift for the couple who want to celebrate their D-day with charitable works.
PETA Founder Ingrid Newkirk said, "The royal wedding is the perfect time for anyone to spare a thought for and show some love to all our fellow living beings,"
Newkirk also added that Merry was found alone and suffering from a deep wound on his neck. His wound has been treated and has completely healed, and he has found a best friend, another bullock, named Barshya, who was also recently rescued.
