Former Malaysian PM Najib's children bank accounts frozen
Malaysian former Prime Minister Najib Razak's children bank account has been frozen. On Friday Razak's daughter, Nooryana Najwa Najib complained of freezing of her bank account and a day after three other children have complained of the same issue.
The president of the pro-Umno NGO, Datuk Lokman Noor Adam said, "I was informed that the accounts of Nooryana Najwa Najib along with Mohd Norashman Najib, Mohd Nizar Najib and Puteri Norlisa Najib were frozen by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)."
Even Lokman lodged two police reports against PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad for continuously accusing Najib from 2015 to 2018 for 2.6 billion 1MDB scams. The second report was against
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdul for freezing some 400 bank accounts including Najib's family.
Lokman said, "This is inhumane, and what makes things worse is that I was told that Puteri Norlisa is not well and needs access to her account to pay for her medical treatment."
In a Facebook page post of Mohd Nizar lamented about the difficulties he was facing. Nizar said, "The accounts of my younger siblings and me (sic) have been frozen. Cannot even pay bills."
Najib has two children from present wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Nooryana Najwa and Mohd Norashman. Three children from previous marriage to Tengku Puteri Zainah Tengku Eskandar named Mohd Nazifuddin and Puteri Norlisa.
Ms Rosmah also has two children from her previous marriage to Abdul Aziz Nong Chik, Riza and Azrene Soraya.
