12-year-old boy sole travel to Bali after stealing his mom's credit card
A 12-year-old Australian boy managed to fly all alone to a forested volcanic island of Indonesia, Bali where he spent four days in a resort. When police investigated how he managed to fly alone, they found that he was using his parents' credit card.
It was after a verbal spat with his mother that he ran away from his home in Sydney and few from Jetstar airlines to Bali. In a show aired in a local channel, mother of 12-year-old Emma shared that, "He just doesn't like the word 'no', and that's what I got, a kid in Indonesia," She also added that there should be a stricter check on air travel by young people.
The family had gone on a summer trip to Bali and that is how the kid came to know about the place. Emma shared that he had once tried booking a flight to Bali but wasn't allowed by the airlines.
Mother of the 12-year-old shared that when he first tried to book tickets for Indonesia she threatened him of taking his passport.
Emma shared that her son went to Bali and stayed in a hotel for four days. He even hired a scooter and drank beer. It was only after one of his friends saw a video of him playing in a swimming pool that they came to know. Approximately cost of the child's trip was Aus $8,000.
